A Message from Superintendent Jim Diagostino
I began my journey as an educator in 1992, teaching 8th graders in a
sub-urban school district in Central Indiana. I could not have imagined at
that time how many opportunities I would have over the next 22 years, and how
many incredible people would come into my life through education.
After serving the MCCSC as your Assistant Superintendent during the 2013-14
school year, our board offered me the opportunity to become your
Superintendent. I am privileged and honored to be working beside so many
dedicated teachers, parents, and community members who hold this
corporation close to their hearts. Their passion for ensuring that our
students succeed in life is truly astounding, and a source of inspiration
At Mill Creek, each of our students is more than a number, and certainly
more than a test score. Although we are trained to use standardized test
scores as benchmarks, I challenge each of you to become engaged in our
schools to see first-hand the amazing work happening each and every day.
We measure our success in this district individually, student by student.
It will always be “Students First” here, and we make decisions to best
serve the needs of ALL of them. We Expect Excellence in Achievement,
Attitudes, and Actions by all of our stakeholders.
If you are not sure how to get involved, please contact the PTO in each
school, or your students’ principal to see how your volunteer efforts could
make a difference for our schools. Please take the time to "test drive"
our website and learn more about MCCSC. If you would like to learn more
about good things happening on a regular basis, I invite you to follow me
on Twitter. (@MillCreekSupt)
A Message from Assistant Supt. Stacey Monnett
I am very excited to begin my 19th year in education as your Assistant
Superintendent. I have served in various capacities throughout my endeavors
in becoming a well-rounded educator--student, parent, office assistant,
substitute, teacher, department chair, mentor, coach, transportation
assistant, building level administrator--and now proudly serving as a
district administrator. I have developed an appreciation for every aspect
and role we play in educating the leaders of tomorrow.
It is a privilege to be a part of a welcoming community who sees and
understands the importance of educating our students. We are so blessed to
have great teachers, students, parents, and stakeholders who all share
common goals and expectations for our schools.
As a parent of four wonderful children, I always took pride in making
choices in their best interest. That philosophy continued into my career as
an educator. I am a very student-oriented individual and will continue to
base my decisions on what is BEST for STUDENTS. This mindset is so crucial
at each and every level/role we have in educating our children.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve this corporation. I look forward to
continued successes as I work with students, teachers, support staff, and
administrators to continue to develop ourselves as lifelong learners. May
we never settle for anything less than being our BEST!!!
